“He was a monster. He killed a person. He probably thought of it as a small sacrifice for a big cause, but I personally have never thought that certain people’s lives could be considered less valuable than others’. He deluded himself into thinking that he had the right to punish sinners. He was a monster created by our time. A police officer once said to me that people do things because they can get away with them. She said people do corrupt things because we turn a blind eye to them and that we can change it if just one person keeps his or her eyes open and barks at them.”
