Places of interest for J-drama fans (an incomplete list, to be sure):

Torrents:

AvistaZ - Members-only private tracker– keep checking back for the occasional open registration week/end. Users must maintain UL/DL ratio, etc.

AOX - Members-only private tracker– via invite, with occasional open registration. Users must maintain ratio & follow other community guidelines. Not a whole lot there right now but that may change.

Jdramacity - 480p only, and will only continue a show if someone starts subbing it. It’s on hiatus this season but I’m including it here in hopes that it will return for Summer 2017.

Torrentkim - Korean tracker that uses both Hangul & English titles so searching isn’t as difficult as you would think. Sometimes all that’s available in 720p has Chinese hardsubs but, well, beggars can’t be choosers. Doesn’t have everything but worth checking out (also I don’t know if there’s a way to restrict it to J-dramas, so the link here just leads to the DOA raws search results– just use the search box to look for specific titles, tedious as that is).

AcgnX - Has both regular dramas & toku. Again, not everything, but it’s worth a look (sense a theme here?).

Nyaa Pantsu - Basically an archive of magnet links from Nyaa but some folks are starting to put new stuff there now. I’ll be watching to see if/how this takes off.

For toku specifically:

Tokyo Toshokan is one-stop shopping for all the different toku fansub groups. They do occasionally have non-toku dramas too but not much. Similarly, AniDex has mostly toku under their “drama” tag as well.  And if you’re mainly after TV-Nihon subs, you can go directly to them.

Direct downloads:

Dark Angel - has DOA’s 720p releases available via MegaUpload. The only problem is that to download anything that’s over 1GB, MU requires you to install their browser extension and there’s no way I’m doing that, sorry. So I mainly go here for the shows with shorter (22-28 min.) episodes which will squeak under the 1GB mark.

Raredoramas - Okay, not really any new dramas here but it’s always good to include this site in any list of J-drama resources.

Well the overall theme of this list is that no one place has everything (and let’s be honest, Nyaa didn’t have everything either but at least it collected more in one place than any one of these, with the exception of AvistaZ perhaps). It’s not a complete list of every possible source but rather a list of sites I personally find useful. Also, I should note that they are *not* framed with porn ads, etc., which is always a plus in my book (of course, I can’t vouch for what you might find if you go randomly clicking links, so let’s be careful out there.)
